Feeding the ducks in Boulder City

We went to this cute little pond with some friends to feed the ducks. It was pretty cold right by the lake for some reason, the kids didn't mind but I was FREEZING!

Random Picture:
I was driving home from the store and looked in my rear view mirror and was overwhelmed by the idea of my girls growing up and not having a cute little girl to sit in the back of my car anymore. So I snapped a quick picture so that I could remember it forever! Sienna was sitting way waving her new sword we got at walmart. She is so cute!

Frankenstein Computer

Seth bought that laptop 3 years ago when he started law school. It lasted him through all of school and barely through taking the bar. Then the girls decided to wash it by spraying it down with a water bottle and wiping it down. I asked them why they would do that and they told me " because its dirty and Dad never cleans it!" . After getting washed, the screen on the laptop wouldn't work, so Seth hooked up the screen to my old very slow desktop and it worked like a champ.... for a month or so. then on march 5th one day before my birthday, the day that we had planned to get me a new computer the computer made this funky noise and just shut off...and wouldn't turn back on... It made us laugh using the computer because it was so funny looking.

St. George in Jan.

We met up with some of Seth's Family to run the 5k in st. George. We actually signed up to run the half marathon but changed after realizing that we were in no way ready for it. We all got rooms at the same hotel and had fun swimming, eating and sitting around talking.

(Erin, Jordan, Seth, Cairen this was taken before the race... it was cold!)

these are all the people in the family who ran the 5k.

I LOVE running with Seth. I think a lot of the times I am the one pushing Seth to do things, but when we are running he is the one who is pushing me, keeping me going and making sure I don't give up. I love it!

Brooke went to dinner with us and the girls and it was so fun to get to talk and just be with her. Sienna was dead tired and fell fast asleep in Brooke's arms while we waited to be seated. She slept through all of dinner and when we got to the hotel we put her in bed and she slept till the morning!!

Cleaning the Church Building

The girls and I went and helped clean our church building and we all actually had a lot of fun! We were in a bit of a rush getting there on time, so I asked Meika to help Sienna get her socks on. Love it when they are nice to each other!

They were in charge of dusting all the chair rail molding stuff and the giant vents on the walls... I think they mostly just ran around the building with one of their little friends.

Can you tell they dressed themselves?

I made this little dress out of some of my old t-shirts following a pattern I bought online. It was a really simple fun dress to make, I would like to just buy some material from the store so its not SO warn out looking... she likes it though, she added her own flare by putting her long sleeve green shirt under it.

Boulder City Train Ride

For playgroup one week we went on the train in Boulder City. It was such a nice day and the girls really enjoyed their first ride on a train.

Meika posing in front of the train.

Brennan, Cooper and Meika. Cooper and Meika are the cutest little friends. They love each other so much and want to play all the time.

Us girls trying to take our own picture, didn't work out so great.
Cute little sisters looking out the open train windows.

Smile!

Sienna in January

Sienna is such a little ball of energy, she is so spunky, sassy, playful and very snuggly.
Sienna LOVES to watch movies, especially princess movies.

One night I found that Sienna had made her own little bed on the ground, how cute is that! All snuggled up in the quilt Grandma made her.

Sienna is very good at peeling clementines, one day I found her on the counter with a bowl FULL of ones she had peeled.

Sienna also LOVES our puppy Cinderella. She chases her around all day, snuggles her, plays with her, and loves to run with her at the park.
(January at the park with no coat, no shoes or socks. Love vegas weather!)

Christmas

On Christmas Eve morning we loaded up the car and headed to Utah to spend Christmas with our families. We had a great time spending time with everyone... We Spent Christmas Eve day with the Ballstaedts and Christmas Day with my Family.

Seth reading a Christmas story to the girls on Christmas Eve.

Meika putting out the treats for Santa and some nuts or something for the reindeer.

All the presents under the tree on Christmas Eve at Nana & Papa's house.

Meika all decked out in her gifts from Santa, and her new purse from me. I loved making those purses they were so easy and turned out SO cute.

Seth and his brother Ben playing on their phones.

Christmas Morning picture, we all look VERY scary!

Meika opening her stocking

Sienna opening her stocking... I made them new stockings this year because Sienna didn't really have one so I thought I would just make them matching ones.

We had a great Christmas, its fun looking back over these pictures.... it was like 3 months ago that this happened and I am just now posting it... I know I am totally on top of things.

Christmas Season 2009

sorry I have been MIA, our computer was being a bit crazy...Seth gave me a new computer for my birthday so I am back in business!
I am going to try and just catch-up on the last few months, which is kind of over whelming...
This is Seth and me at his work Christmas party, it was so fun we were excited to enjoy some yummy food at Ruth's Chris. We both got fillet mignon which was SOOO good, it was served with a few other courses as well and by the end we were both stuffed.

Seth picked out this giant Christmas tree, it was so pretty, the girls loved laying by it and moving all the ornaments from one side of the tree to the other. Something went wrong when we put the tree up because 2 weeks later it was completely dead, crisp. I think it wasn't nailed into the stand far enough so it couldn't reach the water, even when the bowl thing was totally full.

Meika & Sienna are in a little performing group called "Twist & Shout", for Christmas they went to a retirement home and performed a few songs. It was so cute! Meika is a total performer and was soaking in all the attention.
Sienna on the other hand stood there exactly like she is in the picture the WHOLE time. it was so funny. No singing, No smiling nothing!
We visited Santa at the mall, he was such a great looking Santa. A few days before this the girls had written their Christmas list and we took them to the post office and they mailed them. So when he asked them what they wanted for Christmas and Meika said " I put it on my list!" . He asked her to remind him, she said make-up and he told her she was too pretty to be wearing make-up and asked if her mom wears make-up, she said yes. He then asked if her mom needs to wear make-up and she said yes. It was pretty funny. Sienna just sat there quite.

Turkey Run 10K

This morning Seth and I ran a 10k. It was freezing cold when we got there and slowly got warm enough to stand still without shaking to death. Once we got started it was a lot of fun, especially since I got to run with Seth, he stayed with me the whole time, even though I was going as slow as a snail. I did hold onto his arm for part of the run which helped me to go a little faster. It was the longest I have EVER run in my whole life, and I ran the whole time! We finished in 1hr 24 min.
I am really proud of myself, I made a goal last January to run a 10k this year and I DID IT!
I know we look pretty scary in this picture

Sienna Turned 3!

Sienna is such a little ball of energy, and I feel so blessed to have her in our family.
Yes, her presents are wrapped in Christmas Paper... I thought I had a roll of barbie wrapping paper but I couldn't find it. Sienna LOVES clothes, she loves to wander the clothing section of store WAY more than she like the toy section.. She changes her clothes probably five times a day... so she mainly got clothes for her birthday...
..and this puzzle.. she will sit at the table all afternoon doing puzzles and coloring.
Seth wasn't going to be home late, so I invited my friend Leesha over and her kids(her husband was working late as well)... we had a lot of fun making dinner and then having a "candle lit" dinner in the back yard.
Sienna is also a chocolate lover, so I made her favorite chocolate soufles. I am Lamo and couldn't find the cute curly candles I bought so we had to use Meika's nu,ber five candle.. I know pretty lame, she probably would never remember except for this picture that shows the proof of how lame I am.
We really are so blessed to have her in our family...
STORY ABOUT SIENNA
when we were in St. George for the Marathon Seth and I took Sienna to Old Navy while we grabbed a few things. While there she hopped out of the stroller and I couldnt find her... for TEN minutes! After about two minutes of running all through the store I began to really panic. I ran outside to see if she had run out there. I kinda got a little crazy at this point and was running through the store screaming her name and balling... I know, pretty picture! I had almost given up hope of her still being in the store when a lady came up to me and told me that she thinks she may be hiding in one of the clothes racks...sure enough there she was curled up in a ball chewing on some old gum she found stuck to the wall. I cried off and on for the next few hours, not wanting to ever let her out of my site again. I really had a change of heart towards my children after that experience, they are such fragile little people and we are so blessed to have them in our homes and in our lives. I don't know what I would do without them, I am so grateful for eternal families and for the opprotunity we have to be sealed together for all eternity.

Halloween 2009

This year I took the lamo route and just had the girls pick dress-ups from our stash to wear.
Here is Meika all dressed up for her pre-school party... I think she looks so cute, especially with those DARLING boots.
Here are the girls after returning from our trunk or treat which we all about froze to death at. Meika was an angel and Sienna is snow white.
I walked out of my room at 7am to find Meika sitting at the kitchen table coloring and chomping on a giant size snickers... I thought it was hilarious... can you see the snickers on the table. Thats what is so great about Halloween, this kinda of behavior is okay. :)
Halloween night we went trick or treating around our neighborhood. I love our neighborhood!
